Innovation Workshop "Novel Packaging Technologies"

On May 01, 2009, the European Network of Excellence Hightech Europe took up work. With this initiative of 22 European partners, a new era of knowledge transfer has started. The aim of this cooperation is to make innovative technological knowledge available for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the food production industry to strengthen them for global competition. Biotechnology, nanotechnology and ICT (information and communication technology) are considered as areas with high innovative power, thus serving as promising sources for future food processing technologies.

On 4th March 2010, an innovation workshop regarding novel food packaging will take place at SALIMA/ EMBAX in Brno, Czech Republic. The innovation workshop will consist of two sessions, a morning session where leading experts give presentations on novel technologies and consumer acceptance, and an afternoon session with brokerage sessions aimed at enhancing your networks for technological or research cooperation (organised jointly by the Hightech Europe project team and the Enterprise Europe Network).

The participation fee for the workshop (morning session) is 50€, including VAT and the entrance to SALIMA. Participation in the brokerage session (afternoon session) is free of charge.
